POPULATION STATS

2005 population estimates for cities in Latvia

This 2005 population estimate is based on a number of factors and sources. Please bear in mind that this is only an estimate of the number of people in a given city -- it may be possible to obtain actual figures from the U.N. and government sources. If you believe our estimate is in error, please contact us.

Please note that all figures below refer populations for individual cities, not the population for urban agglomerations. Thus a city like Manila in the Philippines may have a city population of 1.6 million people (within its official city limits), but a urban area population closer to 10.5 million people. You can see some estimates for urban agglomerations at World's Largest Urban Areas

All city population figures have been esimtated using various factors and based on data from qualified sources. These figures are estimates and are by no means intended to be used as official statistics. I have made my best effort to make these numbers as accurate as possible.
